This tutorial will show you how to access the Qtum Full Nodes program. Please follow the steps presented here, if you have any issues/questions, please address our community support channels (Telegram, Discord and Wechat).
Open https://qtumeco.io/wallet and choose your Windows version, Win64 for 64 bit computers or Win32 for 32 bit computers.
Double-click the downloaded .exe file, and then select “Next”, “Next”, “Install”, “Next” until the installation finishes.
Select “Finish” to finish the installation.
Leave the button set on "use the default data directory” and select “OK”.
Run the Qtum Core Wallet.
In the wallet main menu select Receive, and then “REQUEST PAYMENT”.
Select “COPY ADDRESS” to copy the address into the clipboard.
Close the request payment windows. You will also see this new address listed in the main menu Receive window. You can also register addresses from other wallets, such as the Qtum Web wallet.
Select “Settings - Options” in the wallet title bar menu.
Click on "Open Configuration File”, select “More Apps” and the Notepad editor.
Then enter the following two lines in the file, pasting in the receiving address.
uacomment=Qtum address for accepting the rewards addnode=qtum5.dynu.net
Note: The address here is your own address for accepting the rewards, for example, QgoaDTzvoR7NvXrDkofF1iHJL9GFWPwWXJ.
Select File - Save and close Notepad. Restart the Qtum Wallet so it can read the configuration file on startup.
Restart the Qtum Wallet.
Download the Qtum installation file. Openhttps://qtumeco.io/wallet and choose Mac version.
Double-click to open the image file.
Drag the left “Qtum Core” to the right “Application” to complete the installation.
Open the Qtum Core App and select Open in the pop-up dialog box.
Open Qtum Core again, select “open” in the pop-up dialog box.
Select the default data directory in the welcome interface, Qtum’s node data will be stored in the default directory:
~/Library/Application\ Support/Qtum/, click OK to enter the Qtum Wallet interface.
Open the Mac software: Terminal.app
Paste the following two commands in the Terminal and Enter (it’s in one line):
touch ~/Library/Application\ Support/Qtum/qtum.conf && open -t ~/Library/Application\ Support/Qtum/qtum.conf
command+sto save the file.
Download the Qtum executable file. Enter
in the command line to download.
Run the following commands to unzip the file and change to
tar xvf qtum-0.17.6-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz cd qtum-0.17.6/bin
Enter the following commands in the terminal:
mkdir -p ~/.qtum echo "uacomment=QgoaDTzvoR7NvXrDkofF1iHJL9GFWPwWXJ" >> ~/.qtum/qtum.conf echo "addnode=qtum5.dynu.net" >> ~/.qtum/qtum.conf
to modify the configuration file, you may enter
cat ~/.qtum/qtum.conf to view the file, it should look as follow
./qtumd -daemon to start Qtum Core Wallet.
